This here features books that have fantastical elements but isn’t quite like Lord of the Rings. They are fantasy, but there isn’t a far off land (or maybe there is but it doesn’t have a Middle Earth like feel) with explosions of magic and vast world of mythical creatures. Though these books may have certain elements of High Fantasy books, they still retain a different feel. (It’s hard to explain… >.<) They lack the quests, epic travel logs, and a heavy emphasis on the magic or swords/weaponry.
